ABOUT OUR PET BOARDING KENNELS

Dog Boarding Kennels with Field

We're dog and cat lovers and our pet boarding kennels really show it well.

Dogs enjoy spacious indoor pens, each with access to a separate, covered outdoor run. The dogs just love being able to go in and out whenever they feel like it. At night, the pens are locked to ensure their security.

Cats enjoy separate indoor quarters where they too are pampered with lavish attention. A limited number of spaces are available for feline friends.

Dog Boarding Kennels Runs

Your dog’s or cat's comfort and happiness is important to us. You’ll be pleased to know that the building is heated and air-conditioned, with supplemental floor heating, piped-in music, natural and artificial light (yes, even night lights).

We continue to maintain and upgrade our premises.

OUR STAFF

While the building design maximizes your pet's security and comfort, it’s the trained staff that provide the individualized care, which is essential to meeting the needs of your pet.

We’d also like to mention that the owner of the kennel, Robert (Rob) Phillips, lives on the property and this is his full-time occupation. As he says, "Running this facility is a full time commitment which I take very seriously."

Our pet boarding kennels employs a staff comprised of both fully trained adults and senior students. They’re responsible for implementing the 3 key elements that comprise our plan for delivering quality care to your pet. These elements are:

1. Individual attention to your dog's or cat's special needs.

2. The highest standard of kennel cleanliness.

3. A unique outdoor canine exercise program.

Staff members are trained to speak to your dogs even if they’re just passing by him or her. If an animal is showing signs of stress, staff members are encouraged to offer comfort by sitting in the pen with your dog. It’s also not unusual to find the kennel dog groomer or another member of the Staff sitting in a pen talking to its occupant, just to be friendly. We’re all dog lovers and we love our jobs.

The West Carleton Boarding Kennel has an enviable reputation for cleanliness reflected in our motto: "Cleanliness is Next to Dogliness."

EXERCISE and OUTDOOR FUN!

Dog Boarding Kennel Fun Exercise is a priority at our facility.

All dogs at our pet boarding kennels are encouraged to run off-leash in the secure playing field, unless such factors as age, health or temperament require that a dog be walked on a lead.

We have a two-acre field that is completely fenced, and divided into short-grass runs and longer-grass field areas to give the dogs a marvelous area to run, play and socialize under close supervision.

Dogs are taken out to the field in small, compatible groups.

Police canines and those that are not sociable with other canines are exercised alone.

This approach gives the dogs a superb aerobic workout. It’s why our clients sometimes refer to us as a "camp for canines".

FOR THE SMALL DOG

Later this year (2011) or early 2012 we'll be developing an outdoor area just so the little ones can play by themselves.

Your Papillon, Chihuahua or other toy / small breeds will have their very own, very safe section to run and get exercise.

We’re nestled on 30 acres of fields and woodlands in the former Township of West Carleton. You’ll find us near the intersection of Kinburn Side Road and Carp Road…about 15 minutes west of Morgan’s Grant in Kanata.

Why not book an appointment and come see for yourself? Our friendly staff will be pleased to show you around.
